Let’s start from the beginning…

For quite a while (actually years), people have been asking me if I have a site or an online portfolio, etc. As someone who uses the computer (mainly macs) for everything, helps other people create their own websites, from time to time does web/graphic design and is really into using art as an outlet for any type of creativity, you would think that I would already have at least one website. However, there were several road blocks in my life that prevented me from having one. But I did try some social network sites and tried to see if that would work, but it isn’t the same.
After fighting my reluctance to create any type of site (personal, artistic, blog, etc…), I have finally succumbed under the pressure we all now encounter every day and created my first blog =)
The first obstacle I had to overcome is the fact that I like to be a very private person and don’t like to share much about myself, or my life in general. However, that contradicts the fact that I would like people to see me as an artist and I would also like to share my awareness in social or cultural issues and events. Therefore, after deliberating whether I should just start a blog or keep everything I do just to myself, I realize there should be an in-between. I don’t like to talk or write much, but I do like to “illustrate” my life’s experiences. Let’s see how this works out for me and in a way for anyone who decides to check this site =)

Since I’m still working on my online portfolio, for now, this blog will be the main place to “showcase” my artwork. Eventually, once my online portfolio is up, I guess it would be mainly a photo blog. A place where I can talk about the process of some of my projects, blog about any type of creative “something” I encounter. Until then, this blog will be like an experimental space to hold my creative outlet.
